raising and lowering

i am interested in the design of a system to change the angle of a TV based off a switch. what kind of gears would I use to do this? the tv should be moved 90 degrees by gears having it turn towards the right and left based off a arduino chip - ill figure out the programming as I go!

Worm gears with small lead angles are self-locking. That would keep the TV in place when the motor is turned off.
