RAM CONCEPT - IMPORTING DWG/DFX ERROR!

Hi everyone,

I am modeling a two way slab in RAM Concept but I haven't been able to import geometry from DWG or DFX files. The error display says:'FILE IS NOT RECOGNIZED FORMAT' I have saved the file in previous versions of CAD and tried to imported it from a my local hard drive without success. If anyone has ran into this issue/error before, I would appreciate your advice.

Try changing the folder named DWG’s to DWGs, apostrophes in the file path are generally not great.

Otherwise try the usually purge/audit procedure on the file in AutoCAD and also remove any hatch regions.

Thanks Celt83 for your advise. I was able to fix it. I saved DWG/DFX in CAD 2018 and RAM concept file under the same folder in local hardrive and it worked. Mistery solved.
