I was mechanical operator/maintenance person on a nuclear submarine reactor plant for six years. I just got out of the navy and am looking for work in the civilian world. Wednesday I am taking the Ramsay Maintest for a potentential employer and I cannot find anything on the internet to tell me what to expect as far as the type of questions I will be asked. I know the basic categories. I am concerned that the mechanical focus of my past work experience and training will leave me lacking in the electrical areas of the exam. Have any of you ever taken this exam? Can you give me a breif synopsis or opinion? Perhaps even suggestions on what to study. Thank you for your help.
