Dear eng-tips members,

I’m planning to use RC servo Motor Model No. FT5325M or FT5835M
And the application is a durability test rig for a new product.
The operation of the servo is designed to work as follows:
1. The axe of motor is hooked up with a 3 RFID cards wheel with weight of 42 Grams and maximum length 154 mm from center.
2. Moving for 45 Degree and return to zero degree (10 k repeated movement) (21 Hours duration) (8 movements per minute).
3. This movement is expected to sustain for days of operation.

Please advise which motor to select.

Also Please Advise is it ok to use RC Servo in industrial Application.

Thank You All.

Does it dwell at any position or does it just oscillate continuously?

Hobby servos are cheap. If you use them, buy several extras to replace them. You can lower the effort by using a counterweight to balance the fixture.

Thank you for your response,

yes it stops for 3 seconds and for 5 seconds in the different positions.

I will try the counter weight method.

Thank you very much.
