Dear forum members,
What I know Steel flats plates (say size of 60mn x 5 mm) are used as earth mat in substation foundation with a spacing in both direction, but what I don't know if it is wise to take through the intersecting RCC column (between the inner set of vertical reinforcement) and then casting the upper portion of column. The intersecting side of column 450mm and other side is 400mm.
Does it beneficial as suggested by the site electrical engg or does it harm my column in long run.
Yours advise/suggestion will be well appreciated.
Regards
Rajarshi
