RMC 2410 states that only straight probes are allowed for UT of thicknesses over 60 mm. A colleague of mine is convinced that this implicates the plates have to be scanned from both surfaces, because of the dead zone of straight probes. It's impossible for me to change his mind: i believe this dead zone has been considered during writing of RMC 2410 and, as a result, scanning from one side is sufficient. Anyone with experience with this paragraph?
