Hello Folks

I am new in this field and need some expert guidance regarding Mounded Bullets

My queries are

1) Can we design Mounded Storage tank in PV Elite?
2) If yes, then what precaution one needs to take while designing the same?
3) What special precaution needs to be taken when its underground (suggestion for overground too if there's any?)
4) What essential data are required while designing?

Your expert advice will be highly appreciated.

As is very typical in today's management paradigm , a person with NO EXPERIENCE is assigned to a complex and potentially deadly assignment.

He goes to an engineering forum to ask reasonable questions of strangers....... What is wrong with this picture and who is to blame ?.... The newbie ?..... The MBAs ????

Mounding protection of bullet tanks is only one small part of an integrated safety design for the site. Tank corrosion, spacing, internal access, cathodic protection, coating types... etc all must be considered.

Mounding has advantages and disadvantages. (Yes I know that the client told you that he must have it that way)

Bullet mounding is not common in the USA ..... but is done commonly elsewhere

Where will this bullet tank farm be located ?

We had to have a mounded propane 30,000 gallon tank in the northern section of CT due to the local politics with neighbors, otherwise, the tank would have been on concrete piers. Obviously the tank had to be designated as an UST.
