NFPA doesn't have the same definitions as "corrosive", "toxic", etc. as OSHA's definition. Your sodium chloride application would not fall under the HF classification.

A source of information to aid in the hazardous material evaluation is NFPA 400 (2019), “Hazardous Materials Code”. This source provides definitions aligned with many of the IBC hazard classifications, and the appendix material provides additional classification guidance.

NFPA defines the word corrosive as an attack on the human skin over time not on an animate object.

Sodium Hypochlorite doesn’t have a Maximum Allowable Quantity Per Control area (MAQ) and also doesn’t show up in the Annex B Chemical data.
