Neither Cu nor Al connections should be "tightened" on a periodic basis. This will result in over-torqued connections. Over-torqued connections may eventually loosen and fail.
If you feel you must "maintain" then connection, the proper procedure is to loosen the connection and re-tighten to the specified torque.
The proper way to redo connections is to take them apart, clean them, and then re-connect. Just tightening or re-torquing does no good in most cases where a poor connection is already indicated due to local heating.
"Bus Torque Specifications - Tighten all bus splice connections with a torque wrench and socket at intervals
established by your maintenance policy. See Chapter 9 for suggested maintenance. If a torque wrench is not available, tighten until the conical spring washer is flat."
