Hi,
I'm new to HydroCAD. In my model, I have reaches in series and after running the software, I get warnings for the downstream reaches exceeding the outlet of the upstream reaches. This makes sense because it is a large channel running with a depth of water. I don't understand why this is a "warning" message. Do I need to make changes to correct this? Thanks for any help!
I am using rational method with Dyn-Stor-Ind reach routing.

It depends on exactly which message you're getting. Have you clicked the message for full details?

Message [61] is a HINT which indicates that the downstream node has exceeded the outlet INVERT. This is a common situation that rarely requires any action, as long as you are aware this is happening.

Message [62] is a WARNING which indicates that the downstream node has exceeded the depth of flow at the reach outlet. This basically means that the lower and of the reach is being "flood-out" by a tailwater condition, and this portion is no longer governed by Manning's flow alone. The overall results may still be OK, but you need to examine the situation and make that determination.
