Hi,

I completed an analysis of a U-CUP seal installed into a gland (thus it is compressed by the rod and bore).

But I am self-taught and really weak on the Result and Visualization part so could you please help me find out the Reaction force on the rod?

I have attached the cae file along with an image explaining the problem.

Many thanks,

Jimmy

bogiedreamer,

Here are the menu locations for changing the deformation scale and to display the reaction force (assuming that is something you told Abaqus to keep track of). but you really need to read over the "Getting Started..." manual at least.

Reaction Force Menu path:
Result->Field Output...
The reaction force is 'RF'

Deformation Scale Menu Path:
Options->Common\
