Good Morning colleagues,

I write to you because it is a new topic for me and in my work they have asked me about it. I am braimstorming in the idea of which System adds less reactive power. At the Moment, I do not have to muuch data. Only main inbdicators. PV Power plant of study is 300 MW ( 374,05 MWp) Lets assume System A is String Inverter Solution with 47kW Inverter and System B is Centralized Inverter 1550kW alternative.

I would like to know, in terms of Reactive Power compensation, which solution would be more convenient and requires less reactive power compensation .If we use String/ Cetnral Inverter Solution. I need to comply with 0,95 PF at the interconnnection Point of PV Plant. LV Side of MV/HV Transformer ( Step up). I am gathering information, but at this first step, could you tell me your impression? The following elements come part of the problem:

- MV Cable lentghs ( underground cables) (losses)
- LV Cable lenghts ( aerial ) ( losses)
- LV MV Transformers losses
- Inverter losses

Thank you very much for your support. I will be updating this post with more information as soon as I get.

Regards,

Miguel.
