In a reversible reaction in a PBR with stoichiometry A <-> B (these have the same physical properties) and low conversion, a catalyst size change of +/- 15% doesn't change conversion.

We need to find how this lack of conversion be changed (if at all,) how can conversion be increased (besides a 2nd reactor to be put in line,) and what additional information would be needed...

In general terms you may want to may want to explore a couple of things. You may just have to live with low conversion and recycle your un reacted material. You may be able to use reactive distillation to bring your conversion up. A different catalyst may be helpful. Sometimes combining two reactions together helps so then A->B and B is consumed in B->C. You might look at the activation energy of the two reactions and alter your reaction conditions to favor one form over the other. If it is a gas phase reaction pressure can do the same thing for you. If you provide more information maybe someone else will have better ideas for you.
