I have a bit of a small question here. I have a basic assembly with 4 components mated on a surface (basically it is a PCB encoder so the mates are surface and align acording to a 0,0 hole datum. Now I am very aware of the "show" dimension feature, and since these dimenions need to be "real" dimension I cannot add them since they need to be driven by the model parametrically and vice versa but when I go to the show dimensions and select "view" nothing really comes up... or the dimensions that I want to show do not show up at all, now when I select "part" it shows ALL the dimensions for that part. All I want is to show the X,Y dimensions from one component on my surface in accordance to the specified datum thats it. Is this much harder than it seems??

Thanks

ignore the above post.... I figured it out "sort of" now the only thing I have to figure out is why my dimensions are all over the map. It seems like I am rearranging ALL normal dimensions, seems like pro/e is not smart enough to determine where to place the dimensions.
