Hello.

I was wondering if you guys could help me decide on a way to rebuild this chair shell for an old professor of mine so that it could be easily edited for manufacturing. At the moment its a sort of messed up rhino file and I am bringing it into NX. I am sort of new to NX, especially these types of shapes but my plan was to build a bunch of cross planes attach them to a sketch and loft the chair shape that way. The other alternative is to use splines then surface then thicken. I am also planning of doing just a half of the chair and then mirroring it afterwards. How would you guys do this. I think the critical change dimensions would be the thickness, the angle between the seat and the back and the up turn on the sides. This will be built out of bendable ply and be pressed from a mold.

The model will also be modified for cushions. I think I can just use some surfaces for that. And it will also be thickened to represent it all completely covered in upholstery.
