Hi Guys,

I have a system that requires a maximum of 33 W of input power. The system will run with two batteries, the main interchangeable one and an internal back up battery that will keep the system operating at full power for 1 to 2 mins whilst the main battery is replaced.

I am really struggling to find a small enough battery that will allow 2.75 A to flow (33 W/12 V) for the 1 to 2 minute requirement.

The stumbling block at the moment is the discharge current. I can find plenty of smallish batteries at 12V 100 mAh but they will not supply enough current.

Anyone have any ideas or am i just fighting a losing battle.

Many thanks

Martyn

Almost any LiPO battery sold for RC applications could do that.

Or something like
Or laptop batteries?

what is the problem?

- physical size? If so what is your limitation?
- cost? If so what is your limitation?
- recharge limitations? If so what is your limitation?

I cannot think of any other possible complaint since there are probably 30,000 different choices in probably 100 different chemical makeups tp pick from.... Without knowing why these 30,000 choices are NFG how do we help you pick one? I think we must need more details?
