Recommendations on Fluid Systems Analysis Software 1

Hello,

As I was about to rewrite the basic Darcy/bernoulli pressure drop spreadsheet my company uses, I realized I am reinventing the wheel. There has to be some good (maybe free??) basic pressure drop software. Even better would be more advanced software that has ability to input pump curves, pressure regulator droop curves, and dynamic events.

Ya'll have any recommendations on software? Any free basic pressure drop software you recommend? What about more advanced analysis?

Thanks

Matt

If you are looking for free software, try PSIM - I have used it a few times and I was quite satisfied with the results:
You can also purchase a relatively cheap AioFlo software from katmar at I have been using it for quite some time and it is great value for the money, in my opinion.

Other more expensive tools include AFT Fathom, Hydroflo, PipeFlow Expert, and Pipenet. These tools also offer many advanced features.
