Recommended Motor Contactor Maintenance & Inspection

Does anyone have a reference for the recommended interval of maintenance and inspection of motor contactors? This would be a recommended practice or interval for inspecting the contacts for pitting and wear, etc.

This will be highly dependent on frequency of motor starting. Contactors are rated based on number of starts and stops.

Also, it will be different for NEMA versus IEC contactors.

I'm sure manufacturers have specific recommendations.

FWIW , NETA recommendations for both low voltage and medium-voltage contactors:

Visual inspection - every two months
Visual & Mechanical - every 12 months
Visual, Mech, & Electrical - every 24 months.
