I am looking for a way to record a movie in NX 3 (Tools->Movie->Record), but it looks like that functionality was added in a more recent version. Is recording a movie available in NX 3 from some other menu command?

The built-in movie capture capabilities were added in NX 6.0. Prior to that you would need to use a separate external 3rd party application, such as something like Camtasia.

Hi BOPdesigner,

You can do it with "Sreen Virtuoso" (Freeware).
Regards.

Several years ago I created a "movie" in NX utilizing a macro.
After starting the macro I moved the objects using "transform", which was recorded, and then I played back the macro and it apearded as a movie.
It is a bit tedious doing the frame by frame thing, but it just may work for you. Also, back then the computers were not as fast as they are now, and that may be a disadvantage to you.
