Recurring tasks in MS Project

Hi there, I am a bit stumped. I have downloaded loads of jobs from our local database into Excel. I know need to export these into MS Project to create a schedule which is now done. However, there are some recurring jobs, how do you change the format in MS Project so that for say daily jobs, they are not repeated 365 times, and just once but put as recurring? Seemingly this cant be done as you have to create recurring tasks in MS Project but there must be a way of doing it. Unless we have to change the jobs in Excel before exporting.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
