Hello my name is Eduardo and my is called Robo-Cycle are in the need of help to build our robot. What our robot is going to do is roam around in a building, outside setting, Stadium etc... It would pick many types of trashes including plastic, glass, aluminum and many other things. But what we need in help is figuring out how we are going to pick up our trash. Should a use like a claw machine type grabber or excavator type scooper or even a bucket Excavator.

Sincerly, Eduardo

I think for the dimensions of potential items you are targeting, a grabber would be difficult to accommodate all the different shapes and surface textures you would encounter and an excavator would just push things around rather than pick them up. If you had something like a rotating brush:

pulling material under, and pushing it into a rotating scoop like a paddlewheel:

which then dumps it into a collector. I don't know how well something like that that would handle thin plastic like bags though. It might tangle/clog up the works.
