Reduced Loading For construction time temporary slab load? 1

Load factors are based on probabilities, as far as I know. There are cases when we have to put temporary load directly on slab during construction, and I am concerned on whether reduced load factors can be used for such loading.

Is there any reduction? Cant find anything in the code.

What risk is applicable for such loading? same as long term loads?

Review ASCE 37-02. It deals with temporary loads during construction. For the most part, loads during construction are similar to those of a finished building - that said, the construction period is the most dangerous time in the life of most buildings.

What kind of load are you applying?

You may have more available residual capacity than you realize as during some stages of construction, not all deadload has been applied or installed and that capacity is still available from the structural system.

The most common loading we apply is crane truck load used to erect steel roof structure on top of a reinforced concrete floor.

I agree with you that this loading can be dangerous, I am only looking for literary work on such loadings

it is elevated. and rests on a beam column grid system. The slab is two way.
