Ref542 plus is obsolete, no support.
Did not choose ref542 and rogovskey coils, before my time, and of course as a state company we are under public tenders law, which ties our hands... Every tender different equipment, around 60 types as I can recal...
Also my team and I maintain Schwitzer relays 351a, 351s, 751, 751a,
Schnaider s40, s52, s60, t80 etc

Siemens series 3, 4 , and expecting digsi 5 relays
Abb all kind of REF615, RET615, and some REF541, and these REF542 plus for which I borrowed ir optical serial cable only to find out that software which we have in substation is probably not compatible...
Relay protection with virtual machines, and so many software versions is becoming more of IT service...
Did not managed to find software...
Needed software to change Rogovski coil ratio after changing overhead lines with higher current carrying capacity wires.
I changed secondary connection of Rogovski coil to higher range. Range was 80A (from 40-140A) and now is corrected to 240A (120-480A), followed by corrected over-current settings by factor of 3.
Relay is now displaying three times less amps but I added note for new constant correction...
Not the happiest solution, but it will work...
Hm, Im sure that I could not communicate with device.
Tested optical adapter with phone camera and could see red led blinking, but devices would not communicate.
