Could anyone recommend reference books or handbooks or other available and believable materials about corrosion rate to determine corrosion allowance for pipe and pressure design? Thanks a lot.

it depends on the service..
a general database for chemicals and fluids id the Cor-Sur of Nace that you can access at Knovel website.
here you can find corrosion rate for almost everything.

then there are a lot of books..
Handbook of Corrosion Data ASM

these sources can give you advice for corrosion rate but you should be aware that you have to know how to use these data..and how to evaluate the corrosion mechanisms active in your process..

The Compass Corrosion Guides are pretty good, but basic.
There are a number of good ones from AMS depending on your specific field of interest.

Don't forget to check to see what is available through NACE.

Depends on the type of fluid
which is in your pipe.

One of the most complete : dechema corrosion hanbooks,
if you can afford them.

If you use Stainless steel, ask directly to steel manufacturers.
