I am curious in that what you guys would recommend for a reference book that explains some of the "logic" used to develop the code equations, particularly Sec VIII Div 1.

post this question on the B&PV forum.....

John Breen (and others) can refer you to ancient ASME papers that, at one time, were publshed explaining the logic behind the code equations.

As I recall, there was an ASME publication developed that specifially addressed this.

 
Thanks guys, I just purchased the Farr and Jawad book and it is worthwhile, but lacking in what I was looking for.

I will post this in the other forum, thanks for the advice
