Good Morning,

I am looking for info/references in regards to "typical" background info in regards to liquids stored in above ground storage tanks:

For example:

crude oil
sulfur content range 0-?, typical ?
hydrogen sulfide range 0-?, typical ?
water content range 0-?, typical ?

refined products
similar
My main area of "interest" is in potential corrosive species, H2S, SO2, CO2, O2, Cl-, etc

I realize the request is about as vague as it gets, but its one of my current projects.

I've been able to get little snippets for the web and from the texts that I have, bit any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS, please let me know if one of the others subgroups would have been a better posting area

Thanks,

Terry

The following is a site that I have run across recently:

It can be used to effectively characterize the content of above ground storage tanks. Also hazards labeling and MSDS sheets are effective tools.

Expected corrosion rates in any given process or storage application can be difficult to ascertain.
