Hi, everyone.

I am looking for reference to Gunite (someone call it shotncrete) stiffness and density data. This is for piping stress analysis to account for stiffening effect of refractory lined pipe.

Product is 1200 F and 50 psi. Thanks.

You will need to get with your supplier or applicator on what materials will be used for the lining.
Just a reminder not all applicators are equal. Depending on your process you should also look at applying a heat sensitive paint on the pipe as a tell-tell for hot spots or stingers.

The first site is an article and short description of how lining affects the stiffness of your pipe by Doug Stilling of Carmagen Engineering Inc. The second is a book by Charles Becht IV about piping in general with a specific section on refractory lined pipe.
