I am performing a preliminary calculation of how much weight a flat annular disk with a hole in it will hold.
I have a copy of "Formulas for Stress and Strain" 5th Edition by Roark and Young that I borrowed from another engineer. I have determined that I need to use case 2e but I am confused by the whole special cases with the K factors, since this edition doesn't clearly explain where to use them. I thought it was just me but the books owner wasn't sure either. Can anyone clear this up for me?
