REFRIGERATING EFFECT

When calculating the refrigerating effect to get the mass flow rate to a booster, is it proper to use the booster discharge temperature as your liquid temp, or the condenser temperature?

Liquid temperature is always a function of condensing pressure at saturated liquid condition. If by booster you mean the compressor, then I assume the discharge temperature out of the compressor. At this stage the gas in a superheated condition but that is not the condensing liquid temperature. Hope this helps
