Ok, I've worked with 3d for quite some time, but never in a cad format.
I'm using Autocad 2005. I have a profile (cut-away) view that I need to rotate into a solid object.
From what I can tell, the way to do this is to make the object a region, and use the revolve command to spin it 360 degrees around it's central axis.
My problem is that when I do the region command, and select the objects, then execute it, it says 0 regions and 0 loops created. huh?
For a while I was getting an error that said something about "open objects must be coplanar" which didn't make sense, since I made sure all the lines connected.. should be a closed object. But now I just get nothing??
help???
Thanks,
