I am looking for a quick and easy way to determine the size of an electrical reheat coil for humidity control at part load conditions. I understand this issue may sound like a "no-no" to most of you since the use of electric reheat is forbidden by most energy codes. Well, in my country there are no energy codes and, unfortunately, most alternative systems decisions are based on first cost, not on life-cycle costs.

The quick way is to assume a 5 degree rise acros the heater and multiply it with the air flow.If precise humidity control is required, the heater capaciy should be equal to the room sensible heat.
