Reinforcement and Formwork plans/designs

Hi everyone,

I am pretty new here and I don't really know how this forum works, but I have couple of question for the Experienced Structural Engineers regarding the drawing of the reinforcement and formwork plans.

My first question is: On average (for a normal reinforced concrete house, for example with total of 500m^2), how fast should the reinforcement and formwork plans be completed?
Is there a rule/law/regulation on how fast one draftsman should complete the drawings? Is there maybe an approximate speed for the drawings, for example 10m^2 per day, 20m^2, 50m^2 or more? (so if one person works alone, how fast he should finish all the drawings?)

My second question is: Lets say I don't want to charge the costumers per hours of work, but instead per meter squared of work. Therefore, how much should I approximately charge them per m^2 for the same normal reinforced concrete house (with 500m^2)?

I am new in this area, and my plan is to focus mainly on drawing the reinforcement and formwork plans for objects.
So if it is possible for someone to give me a little tip or advice about the speed of completing the drawings and the average charging for the same per m^2, that would be greatly appreciated!!

Hello,
It depends on a lot on your software using skills and you experience. For example after designing dimensions of structural elemente the formwork plan should not take more then 1 story per day max. If you use advanced detailings softwares like allplan it can be a lot faster... i manage to make 3000 m2 in 1 day formwork plans. It really depends a lot from person to person....
