Hi,
I'm having a problem on how to calculate the flat head with reinforcement plates of a pressure vessel (internal pressure), by EN 13445.
In the first design, we do have a circular flat end with two reinforcement plates, horizontally. How should I calculate the size of these plates and then the thickness of the flat end?
The other design we have is rectangular flat end (for cylindrical vessel) with reinforcement plates. Is this calculated as per "uncircular flat end" or per "circular flat end" as the part that is under pressure is circular, even though the part itself is rectangular?
