Recently I read an article in one of the trade journals about reinforcing existing concrete slabs. The method was essentially routing out a grove in the slab and grouting a reinforcing bar back in the groove.

Does anyone recall which magazine this article was in? Or anywhere I can find more information on this procedure?

Thanks.

I'm not familiar with that procedure, but you could also use steel or FRP plate bonding also.
