Related to AutoCAD's Ortho function

hopefully this will make sense ...

in AutoCAD, let's say I had a vertical line of unknown length. and I'd like to draw another vertical line that might originate from an entirely different y coordinate, but I want it to stop at the same y coordinate that the first vertical line did.

I could activate ORTHO, thus locking in the directionality and then as I moused down to the bottom of that vertical line and clicked on the bottom, it would draw my new line, perfectly vertical (thanks to ORTHO) and stop exactly at the point where the first line terminated (thanks to SNAP)

Is there a similar function in Microstation? Right now I'm simply snapping to the end of the first line, drawing a straight line out horizontally, drawing my new vertical line and snapping to the horizontal perpendicularly and then deleting the horizontal.

I just feel like there's got to be a little more sophisticated way to do this but I haven't figured on out yet.

nevermind ... been trying to find the answer to this for over 6 months and would you believe less than 30 minutes after posting this I accidentally did what I wanted to do?

I have apparently everything I need with the accudraw, I just need to hit the enter button to lock the directionality and then snap on the endpoint

GhostsOfCanton, yes AccuDraw is a very powerful tool for design. If you haven't used the O key for Origin that is another that can get a lot of use.
