Related to Transformer Vector Group

Dear All,

Greetings for the day...!!!

As i am an Electronics Engineering, and we are in testing and measuring instruments fields which are useful to test Transformer, AC Induction Motor, Submersible Pump and Other Electrical Appliances.

One of Our Product is Transformer Turns Ratio, In that we want to add feature of Automatic Vector Group Detection. I know all methods to detect but my question is as below.

If we take as example Dyn1 Vector Group Transformer then as theory states 30 degree Phase Shift between HV Winding Voltage and LV Winding Voltage.
But if i measure this Phase Shift then i got 0 degree in stead of 30 degree. I have checked on different different vector group but i got 0 degree.

If i measure angle between two phase then i got 120 degree if it is star connected winding and 60 degree if it is Delta Connected Winding.

So if 30 degree or other phase shift is occurs then it create between what?

From your description, it is not easy to understand the operation the operation of your device. Is there a drawing available? It would help understanding a lot. For instance, does it produce a voltage and if so, is that a three-phase voltage?

Are you measuring Phase-Phase (or Line) voltages on the y side ?

There is no vector shift in each individual winding - but on the y side.

When you measure (say) V a-b on the y side, and then compare it to V A-B on the D side, there will be 30 deg shift
