Hi,
I want to apply an incremental cyclic displacement with a tabular amplitude in an implicit analysis but the output displacment of the controlled node is not the same as defined amplitude. The number of cycles and the shape of cycles is different from input displacement (please see attached figure). I also checked that the history output to be recorded at every increment. I am not sure that I should select a maximum time increment smaller than the time step specified in amplitude definition or Abaqus does it automatically to follow the amplitude? How I can be sure that Abaqus provides outputs at the exact point defined in amplitude?
Thank you in advance.

You can use Time Points feature to request output at the specified moments in time. Abaqus will automatically adjust increments to fit such request. Another option is to use time interval.
