Is there a way if we have the "Floor rating" of a floor as 350 PSF then directly draw a conclusion what will be the maximum allowable point load (lbs)on the floor?

Appreciate for your comment.

In general no... but kinda yes. It very much depends on the kind of construction. Concrete slab?

HELP! I'd like your help with a thread that I was forced to move to the business issues section where it will surely be seen by next to nobody that matters to me:

KootK (Structural),
Yes concrete floor. Could you explain it more please?
If we have 350 PSF floor load rating can we say a 3000 lbs point load is good?

A system such as a beefy, two way concrete slab inherently has the ability to distribute concentrated loads. In your case, you would only need to engage a 3'x3' patch of concrete in order to resist the 3000 lbs. And that's nothing for a two way, concrete slab.

KootK (Structural), thank you for your response. I have to apologize for asking like students for atep by step solution but how from my numbers your came up 3' x 3'

The raeson I asked this question say we have the floor rating and a case of point load comes up, then shall ignore the 350 psf and check for point load or having the information of 350 psf allowable floor load gets us to max allowable point load that can be safely place anywhere on the slab?

Thank you

KootK (Structural), thank you very much for your help. I know sometimes I ask basic questions but appreciate people like you kindly and patiently help. Thank you again.
