i am rtrying to figure out the relationship between steam pressure as produced by the boilers and the steam production rate fronm the boiler.

Say you have a boiler which is operating at 8 bars what a other information would you need to get the steam generation rate.
can anyone help????

There is no design relationship between steam pressure and generation rate.

You can have a wide variety of boiler designs and types all at the same pressure and operating at different steam flow rates.

The same boiler can also generate steam at a variety of different pressure/flowrate combinations.

If you have an existing facility, you might consider contacting the original boiler vendor and asking questions.

Good luck

If you don't have pressure compensation on the steam flow meter, you'll get very different readings for the same pounds per hour flow. If the boiler pressure drops, the meter will read high, and if the pressure increases the meter will read low. And the further you drift - either way from what the pressure the meter was set for - the greater the error.

If you know the heat input to the fireside of the boiler, then you can ballpark the output at about 80% of that value. Don't forget to deduct the heat in the feedwater entering the boiler, and that the pressure readings in the plant will likely be "gauge", while most steam tables list pressures in "absolute". You'd be amazed at how often that gets overlooked.
