Hi, I have a problem with Abaqus/CAE.

I have simple two element beam (in othes software (example Sap2000) I can define a releases, between end Node beam 1, and start node beam 2, for example to add and internal hinge.

is It possible with abaqus/CAE? if yes how?

this is the simple system:

Thanks in advance

Mustaine3 thx for your attention.

I'am a new user in Abaqus.

can you give me an example for my case, please ?
in such a way that it can deepen the study . I did not understand the procedure from the link .

thanks in advance

Then you should become familiar with Abaqus before you try advanced stuff.

Mustaine3, I am learning. Define internal constraints (releases )is the basis for my models, unfortunately I have not found how to do, why I asked you to please let me an example , so I can learn ;)
I would be grateful if you could explain the procedure ;)
I'm sorry for the trouble ;)

Attached is a .cae file with a very simple example, where a hinge-connector and a connector boundary condition is used to lock all relative movements between two nodes in step one. In step two is the BC deactivated, so the connector can rotate in the one DOF a hinge has. See history output of CRM1 to see the change in the reaction moment of the connector.

Mustaine3 Thank you , you've been very kind . I will try to go into that thanks to your example ;)

THX ;)
