Relink the drawings

Hello,
I got the new engineering levels of the components from our customer, CATPart files built in V5R14 and I have all the detail drawings already created in V5R16 for the old levels. Also the customer files are renamed, showing the new level. I have tried to relink my drawings to the new files after I saved them as V5R16 data, but the link is not accepted. Did anybody face this issue before?

is there any error message? Something like.. "The link refused the document"..?
If it is there is no way out...just to make the drawing again..(

The only way to fix this is thru a script that isolates and re-links the views. And then your dimensions will be isolated.
