Hey Guys,
I'm not an electrical engineer so I have a really silly question for you ppl. I have to operate a Pump to maintain the level of a tank from a remote location but I dont want to lay a wire for that. Is there any device which can do this for me like a remote control. Or maybe a wireless level sensor......If you answer this question, plz mention the website for the product you refer to me. Thanks

Yahoo for SCADA systems.

That's Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition systems. They are for precisely that.

Do you have power available at the tank, or do you need solar power?

You may also want to indicate where you are in the world. No point in recommending a system available in the US if you are in India or Uganda, it may not be readily available to you.
