Very warm Good Morning to all of you..!!

1.Can anybody throw some light on "Removal of Demister pad which is located at inside top most of Vaccum crude tower which is above LVGO Bed will make any sense ?

2.Instead of Pressure distribution to top of LVGO/Slop wax bed --Gravity distribution from nozzles will make any sense..w.r.t. Bed fouling /Coking in the bed.

Hi Petro,

1. Answer is no, if you remove demister pad it will be allowed to LVGO droplets (created by pressure distributor) to enter to vacuum system, as result your LVGO yield will drop and slop quantity from barometric drum will increase.

2. Some designers prefer pressure distributors (spray distributors) and other gravity distributors. If properly designed and installed both are OK.

Regards,

Milutin
