On an API 610 datasheet, the option for "Remove casing after test" is shown with the option for non-witness/witness. What does that mean exactly? Is it referring to removal of the casing cover for visual inspection / complete removal of water in the pump casing?

Would this be an option to avoid complete disassembly of the pump after testing?

I don't know how to close this thread, but it seems the mystery has been solved by looking at API 610 12th edition. There is a paragraph that clarifies the "remove casing after test" inspection option by emphasizing that on certain pump types like BB3 (split-case, multistage) and BB5 (double barrel), it may be necessary to remove the casing to ensure all water from the performance test is removed.
