Hi all,

I have a part instance that has an incompatible output for a field output from fields that I want to create. Is there anyway to remove a part from the calculation so the custom field output can be generated? Alternatively, would it be possible to create a copy of the ODB file and exclude the part that is not compatible?

Thanks

Create a set with the regions you want to include and then create the Output Request and refer to that set.

I am not talking about XY data, I need to create a new field output based on an equation to view as a session step (create field output from fields). I am not sure of any way to refer to specific sets with this option?

Ahhh, ok. I've misunderstood the question.

I think this operation always takes the whole model. So there is no option to select specific regions.
Probably the best way to get rid of a region is by using *Import. Here you can specify which parts you want to transfer into a new dummy analysis.
The Restart-option with a dummy step and *Model Change could also work.

Python scripting might also work, but requires more effort.
