Removing Part Attributes

Hi all,

I have an assembly where someone has assigned all the component parts attributes at the assembly level. When I insert a parts list into the drawing the table displays the attribute information from the assembly level and ignores the attributes that have been assigned to each component at the piece part (or child) level. When I try to delete the attributes at the assembly level I get a message which says that 'attributes used in annotations cannot be deleted'. I assume this is because the attributes are used for the parts list, however I still get this error message even if I delete the parts list from the drawing.

Does anyone know how I can get around this?

Regards,

Rob

I had no problem deleting the Assembly-Level attributes once the Parts List note was deleted.

What version are you running and are you running under TeamCenter or not?

Hi John,

We are running NX6 outside of Teamcentre (do you call this native?). I'm not sure what patch level we are running; I'll have a look tomorrow when I go into work.

Rob
