Removing part of the existing structure

Hi, I am working in a project involving a lot of modification works in existing structures.

For example, there is a RC storage tank (open top) with 5 compartments.
The tank is just a 20m long RC box with multiple 2m high compartment walls.

I need to remove 2 middle compartments, which means the RC slab and one of the compartment walls need to be removed.
I am not sure about the detailed treatment of the exposed rebars and the concrete joint.

Similarly, how to compensate for the removed rebars if I need to make an opening in an existing RC wall?

Does anyone know where I can find more information on these kind of RC modification works?

Unless it interferes with the tank's operation, an added concrete wall, or part of a wall, (shown in green) could be used to reinforce a new wall opening. Tie it to the floor and existing wall with Hilti anchors. Best to roughen the existing wall and take other necessary steps to get a bonded joint between the new wall and the old. This is to keep liquid out of the joint.

Info on concrete repair should be helpful for making modifications. Doubt you will find books on modifications themselves... they can all be different.
