Rendered DWG view & Hiding Parts

After a quick search I haven't found anything on this issue.

Basically I have an exploded assembly in a drawing. I want to hide some parts and subassemblies. While the drawing is in wire frame everything works as expected - ie right mouse click in the FM and "hide/show" components.

When I toggle render to on, the assemblies / parts appear that were hidden. Though in the FM they still appear to be hidden.

Anyone come accross this problem? Using SW2001+, SP6.0

Thanks

Dave

I haven't experienced this, but I suspect your video card/card drivers.

Try supressing components in your assy within Configurations. See if that fixes things for some reason.

For what its worth, Ive seen a similar 'functionality' in the e-Drawings. Assembly components hidden in the assemblyDoc appear in the 'rendered' version of a view in the e-Drawing.

Hi there,

Yeah could be graphics card issue.

In the meantime the workaround is to simply suppress each part individually in the FM and/or in the actual drawing by right clicking on each component - a bit tedious but got the result ;-)
