repeat job maintaining variables/viewports/views layout ?? 1

Hi all

Does anybody know a way to keep the views/variables and viewports layout in teh result viewer so I can repeat the job submission an then check results without having to repeat the actions in the viewer to reach the results?

(it would be nice to do it even closing the viewer)

Hi,

I am not sure is this what are you looking for but since Abaqus 6.12 there are additional options to save session in Abaqus/CAE.
For details take a look into documentation for Abaqus/CAE, 9.9.1 Saving session objects and session options to a file

Use the macro manager to record your steps, and just run that macro the next time. You can also set up the macro to input certain values you might need, say the maximum value for contour plotting.

As Bartosz suggested, I think its easier to simply save the settings (it creates a .gpr file in the scratch folder). The downside is that you have to keep copying/pasting that file in each new folder you create (if you wish to have the same settings in every problem).
