Replace component in reuse pattern constraint in assembly

Hi,
I am facing a problem in reuse pattern in assembly mode. I am using reuse pattern option for bolts, nuts and washers. For example, if I want to change the bolt from M20 to M24, I able to change in particular referenced constraint. After replace that bolt, that is not replicate in the reuse patterns. Now, we are completely removing that patterns and freshly creating new one. If it is possible to replace the instantiate component, it will be very useful and time saving. Kindly provide any idea.

Hi suresh,

While replacing any component in CATIAV5 it will ask you whether you want to replace all the instances or the select instance. You can select "replace all instances".Please try and let me know.

Hi sudhakaran,

If we use that option, it will replace all the instances including the children. For example, if I want to replace the M12 bolt in assembly level. But, the same M12 bolt is used in many children products, then if I give replace all, it will replace in children also. My requirement is it should be replaced in assembly level only.
